The hand drawn lines create the effect of a weaving of a huipil (blouse). The symbols I created for this piece tell a story of grounding our selves in nature and listening to ancient spiritual wisdoms. We are the spiritual warriors that can bring about peace and love to this modern world where have created things that are destroying our planet and communities around the world.
In 2015, LACMA acquired a print for its permanent collection.
