Food Justice Limited Edition Giclee 18" x 25"
$150.00 On sale
This piece was inspired by the food justice programs created by the Black Panther Party for the betterment of Black communities through access to healthy food to nourish and uplift community members especially children. I also wanted to highlight that the struggle for Black liberation and survival is as relevant then as it is today with the Black Lives Matter Movement.
The women seated wear dresses with Adinkra symbols of West Africa, the purple dress design is Name Dua- God's protection and presence and the turquoise dress is decorated with cowrie shells and the symbol Sankofa-wisdom of learning from the past to build for the future.
I hope you enjoy this signed limited edition gliclee that measures 18" x 25" with a 1" white border printed with archival ink on archival smooth watercolor paper.
